DECK YOUR HEADS WITH HATS OF CLAUDIA SCHILZ, ‘TIS THE END OF YEAR COLLECTION

VANCOUVER, CN December 10Claudia, 2009 — German designer Claudia Schulz has launched a new collection ideal for the holidays. With 5 varying pieces for this latest end of year collection, her hats stand out through the color, color combinations and simple lines that have an understated but modern look. This latest collection brings out more neutral colors of the fall season. Claudia’s wearable, functional hats are for everyday use, with minimal accessories. Her inspiration comes from the 1920s cloche/cap, which she has transformed, into a style for the modern fashionsita who loves hats.

“…You can have a bit of fun with your wardrobe by incorporating one-or a few-of these original designs. They are perfect for a slightly drizzly day, or a morning when you just can’t seem to get of bed head.”- Torrie Eaden – Nuvo Magazine

The bell-shaped hats are made of wool felt and this year end collection brings out more neutral colors of the fall season, accentuating it with lines giving this collection a funkier yet contemporary feel. The process is simple. Claudia starts out with the color and accessories, embellishments and decorative threads in mind and designs the hat around it. Her attraction to colors is incorporated into her hats. In this 2009 end of year collection, she was inspired by the elements of graphic printing.

Claudia’s hat designs have a minimalist aesthetic and a functional appeal. The bold use of contrasting colorful threads, fabrics and buttons on this collection accentuate the artistic designs.

”I wanted to create a line of hats that are for casual wear and understated, that could be worn with jeans and a shirt. I used numbers and lines, which are block printed or attached felt cut outs, buttons and embroidered crosses. I love the funkiness of this collection”- Claudia Schulz

The Claudia Schulz hats are about styling the modern fashionista who has an attraction to the vintage chic 1920’s styles and can still make a statement in the 21st century.

For Immediate Release

FASHION CHAOS AT THE MIAMI 2008/2009 FUNKSHION FASHION WEEK EVENT AS EMERGING DESIGNER KEVA JOHNSON DEBUTS HER SIGNATURE SWIMWEAR COLLECTION, KEVA BY KEVA J, ON OCTOBER 4TH 2008 AT 7 PM AT THE MIAMI BEACH BOTANICAL GARDEN .

MIAMI, FL September 25, 2008 — Designer Keva Johnson will debut her signature swimwear line during Funkshion Fashion Week Miami Beach on October 4th 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden in South Beach, Miami, Florida. With 25 signature pieces for the spring collection, her swimsuits stand out through their angles, edgy look and innovative presence. Creating aesthetically pleasing, functional and comfortable garments, Keva designs with the belief that it’s all in the fit of the garment.

Born in New York of Caribbean heritage, Keva grew up in South Florida where she honed her design skills at Florida State University. During an internship at Baby Phat, one of her designs was selected for production and this served as great encouragement for Keva. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Design, this emerging designer moved back to the Fashion Capital New York City where, in less than a year, she captured the attention of top fashion editors, resulting in her designs gracing the pages of Zink Magazine, Black Beat Magazine, Inside Fashion World and Noir Couture. She was recently selected as Member of the Week by Inside Fashion World.

Keva believes that in fashion in order to succeed you must run as far away from the trends as possible and that once you learn to make your own trends you become an innovator. The KEVA by Keva J swimwear collection is about styling the very chic and daring urban fashionista who has an attraction to edgy yet functional swimwear.

“This collection has a lot of metal trims and funky necklines. KEVA by Keva J represents a lot of different elements coming together and making one and I think this collection really shows that” – Keva Johnson.

Keva was inspired by her exotic Caribbean background and exposure to sunny South Florida to specialize in swimwear and what better homecoming than debuting at Funkshion Fashion Week in Miami Beach.

Claudia Schulz 1920’s hats.

Robin-Beige

For Immediate Release

Bauhaus is back in Fashion. Claudia Schulz takes the modern fashionista to the 1920’s with her hats.

VANCOUVER, CN September 18, 2008 — German designer Claudia Schulz is setting a new trend in hat designs. With 10 varying pieces for the most recent collection, her hats stand out through the shape and color, or color combinations, simple lines and geometric shapes, understated and modern. She creates wearable, functional hats for every day use, with minimal accessories.

Claudia’s inspiration comes from the 1920s cloche/cap, which she’s transformed, into a modern urban hat. Claudia has always had a passion for hats, she likes to wear and collect them. A few years after she moved to Canada from Berlin, she signed up for hat making courses. She enjoyed the process of making a hat so much that it became my art.

“…the playful details like contrast stitching, cheeky pompoms, buttons, and vintage buckles are what make them truly special.”- DailyCandy.com

The hats are made of woolfelt and adorned with vintage pieces like buttons and buckles that she finds in shops and flea markets. The process is simple. Claudia starts out with the color and accessories in mind and designs the hat around it. Her attraction to colors is incorporated into her hats. In this 2008 collection, she chooses grays, browns, greens and blacks and throws in a few bright colored hats for that extra edge. This season she chose fuchsia, royal blue and red, adding the vibrancy that the basic gray’s and blacks need so they are fun, but not overwhelming.

“In designing my hats I’m definitely influenced by German Designs. It’s something you grow up with and see in daily life…. starting from architecture like the Bauhaus movement to industrial Design to furniture Design. I’m transferring these elements of simplicity and functionality into my hat designs”- Claudia Schulz

The Claudia Schulz hats are about styling the urban fashionista who has an attraction to the vintage chic 1920’s style.
