“Revamp, renew, re-launch. It is important to always reinvent yourself and I think our new branding strategy is so deadly cool. After sending ICY PR the outline of an African women and choosing the shades of color, they were able to transform the images into a brand that can stand out in a non commodious market of fashion weeks” Adiat Disu, President and Founder of Adireé.

Yetunde Taiwo, the Executive Director of ICY PR, noticed a huge improvement in the branding once completed with the new logos and design. “What better way to highlight today’s African Fashion than by branding it with a contemporary African image and colors. It was an absolutely pleasant experience.”

It is not a coincidence that the logo for AFWNY shares sister shades of blue with the Adireè logo. The shades of blue in both logos come from the indigo dyed cloth produced by Yoruba women of south western Nigeria called Adire. From costume to chic, the new logo in various shades of blue encompasses the diverse and stylish vision AFWNY and Adireè have in common.

“The New branding for Africa Fashion Week needed to be truly African but indicative of the 21st century. The producing Agency (Adireè Fashion Agency) already made our job easier with the illustration and their branding color choice of blue. Blue is always cool,” states Taiwo.
